Odd Looking Animals
Heres a list of some of the odd looking animals there are on earth. Some of the animals are extinct but most of them inhabit rare places where humans don't actually go which makes them unique and strange both at the same time.
Shoebill

The Shoebill is a very large bird related to the storks.
Averaging 1.2 m (4 ft) tall, 5.6 kg (12.3 lbs) and 2.33 m (7.7 ft) across the wings and the adult Shoebill is mainly grey.
It resides in the large swamps between Sudan and Zambia. The Shoebill's name came from early Arabs who called it abu markub i.e the one with the shoe. It was known to early Arabs and Egyptians since times unknown.
Pygmy Marmoset

Pygmy Marmoset is a monkey that resides in the rainforests of western Brazil, eastern Ecuador and eastern Peru. It is one of the smallest monkeys present on earth today which makes it one of the odd looking animals.
Males weigh around 140 g and females only 120 g. Its tail is as long as its body and it uses its tail for climbing trees, a trait unique to the species. Unfortunately, because of its small size, and its swift movements, it is very hard to observe in the wild which makes it one of the weird creatures. Its average age is 11 years it surely one of the

Platypus

Platypus is a semi-aquatic mammal. It lives in Australia and Tasmania.
The bizarre appearance of this egg-laying, duck-billed mammal baffled naturalists when it was first discovered, with some considering it an elaborate fraud.
It is one of the few venomous mammals; It is very poisonous , Its bite causes severe pain to humans.
The unique features of the Platypus make it an important subject in the study of evolutionary biology and a recognizable and iconic symbol of Australia; it has appeared as a mascot at national events and is featured on the reverse of the Australian 20 cent coin.
Until the early 20th century it was hunted for its fur, but it is now protected throughout its range. Although captive breeding programs have had only limited success and the Platypus is vulnerable to the effects of pollution, it is not under any immediate threat.
